What is different in MirrorMusic compared to most other music styles is the intentional lack of story. Even if it has a structure and different sections, it’s not build up with a normal tension–release template in mind. You could actually start listening to most MirrorMusic pieces at what ever point you wish and not lose their coherence. Some of the pieces are a little more structured than others, but the magic of MirrorMusic is not in its structure but in the “feeling” it evokes. This feeling is, of course, personal for any listener despite the fact that every tune has its own special characteristics.
